1. The No-Shame, No-Brokering Principle

At Tane, we believe habit tracking and journaling are deeply personal activities. We never sell, broker, or rent your personal data, habits, journal reflections, or check-in logs to any third parties or ad networks.

2. Data We Collect

• Account Credentials: Your email and secure hashed password for authentication.
• Habit & Growth Data: Habit names, daily check-in timestamps, and stage progression points.
• Reflections & Moments: Personal journal entries and logged real-life milestone moments.

3. Full Export & Deletion Rights (PRS-17)

You have unconditional ownership of your data. At any point from your Settings screen, you can:

• Download a full machine-readable JSON export of all your growth records, habits, and journals.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated records from our database in one step.

4. Cohort Privacy

Community cohorts follow a strict "Private failure, shared wins" architecture. Peer members only see aggregate cohort consistency percentages and voluntarily shared milestone stories. Missed days are never exposed to others.
